Leon Anderson, Jr. is Associate Professor and Director of Jazz Studies at Florida State University. His jazz ensemble is a perennial favorite for Ilse Newell concert attendees and this year Leon will be performing original compositions from his new album as well as songs made famous by the late Quincy Jones and the late Benny Golson.

A native of Moscow, Sasha was named a Young Artist-in-Residence of NPR’s Performance Today and has been broadcast on NPR stations
